The Experience

This visit takes us to the historic city of York travelling over the Pennines and through the Yorkshire Countryside.

Take a seat in your beautiful carriage, which evokes the opulence of 1930s rail travel. Admire the intricate details around you, including handcrafted wooden marquetry, ceiling murals and mosaics floors.

A fine dining experience awaits. Your table is set with pristine white linen, bespoke china and sparkling glassware. Sit back and relax as your liveried steward serves a delicious brunch. Marvel at the ever-changing views through your picture window.

Arrive refreshed and replete for an afternoon of discovery. With Roman roots and a Viking past there is so much to discover and explore. The city has over thirty museums, an abundance of independent shops and vibrant café’s as well as the magnificent York Minister all contained within the ancient city walls. However you choose to spend your time you are guaranteed a day to remember.

Later return to the train to enjoy a champagne reception followed by a gastronomic five-course dinner, served with our sommelier’s selection of wine.
